Hair-stylist for Tribeca celebrities

Celebrities groomed by The Franck Provost Paris hair salon.

Doha: The Franck Provost Paris (FP) hair salon located in The Four Seasons Hotel, nestled inside the exclusive West Bay district of Doha, was the guest sponsor of choice for styling the celebrities attending the inaugural Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

Invited to offer hair styling prior to each event, the styling team at FP was on call every hour throughout each of the four days with a mobile kit in hand and blow dryers at the ready.

Salon manager Fady and his six-strong session team were called between the W Hotel and The Four Seasons’ suites to offer upstyles to Lady Kingsley (wife to Sir Ben), who wore waves to deal with the humidity and for pure elegance, while cascading waves adorned the tresses of actress, Patricia Clarkson, juxtaposed to film director, Mira Nair’s request for a simple straight blow-dry with volume as was the case with actress Yousra and Najwa Najjar (film maker).

Meanwhile, a more intense role was required and performed by stylists Hisham, Maxeem and Ziad who were invited to create updos on Arwa Gouda (super model), Yasmine Al Massri (actress) and Sulafa Memar.

On a lighter note, Kivanc Tatlitug (hailed in Turkey as the Middle East’s Brad Pitt) and Hiam Abbas (actress) afforded simple gel infusions onto short hair and Golshifteh Farahani (actress) had her hair sculpted in a curly wet look after requesting the stylist Ziad do ‘whatever looks best on her’.

“It was an honour to be chosen to sponsor this exciting event. The fine-tuned team at Franck Provost was on constant standby ready for any eventuality, which made a fantastic diversion to the normal salon working week,” said the Qatari founder and owner of AND Trading, parent company to Franck Provost Paris, Maha Abdulla Al Naemi.

Naemi said he was naturally delighted to be involved in this exciting new venture for the State of Qatar.

He said the entire team enjoyed its involvement as it was challenging and thrilling to be invited to style top global celebrities in the wonderful city of Doha.

“The Tribeca festival was a superb addition to artistic life in Doha and will remain an electrifying and moving experience for many years to come as we watch it evolve. I’m so pleased we were given the opportunity to style during this historical moment in Qatar’s cultural history.”
