DOHA: Kids Valley, the kidergarten wing of the Birla Public School held a graduation ceremony for its KG11 children on Thursday.

Keith Marsh, Student Services Specialist at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar was the chief guest on the occassion. Citing his own experience he urged the tiny tots to learn something from everyday experience. Some of these may be found of little significance, but whatever knowledge one acquires, whether it is big or small, will one day become useful.

Some 150 kids, who finished their studies at the Kids Valley received their graduation certificates.

Keith Marsh, Vinita Nanglia, Dr Mohan Thomas, Lukose Chacko, Gope Shani, Komal Shahani and C V Rappai distributed certificates.

KG I children, the host of the evening entertained the crowd with endearing speeches, scintillating dances and a touching send off prayer.

The grduates who were dressed in traditional gown and cap stole the show and solemnity of the presentation touched a chord.

During the grand finale all the graduates enthusiastically spelt out their commitment to keep the flame of the Birla torch of learning burning through a song and dance specially specially choreographed for the occassion.

Aditya Menon, a Grade 6 student of the school was honoured during the function for winning Global Achieve Award for Excellence.

He scored the highest marks in Grade 6 in scinece in the Gulf. The examination was conducted by Australian Coucil for Educational Research.

The award, chich carries a trophy and QR500, was presented to Aditya by Keith Marsh.
