Doha • The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has sent a cable of condolences to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on the death of Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz.

The Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Premier and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani have also sent a similar cable to Saudi.

PM sends letter to Oman

Muscat • The Deputy Premier for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Saeed of Oman has received a letter from Premier and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani dealing with bilateral ties and means of boosting them in all domains.

The Qatari ambassador to Oman Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Khater delivered the letter during a meeting today with the Omani deputy premier.

More Air-India Express flights

DOHA • Air-India Express will be introducing a third frequency to Mangalore starting from May 17, an airline release said yesterday.

Air-India Express will now have three non-stop flights, departing Doha on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a departure time of 0945am and arrival in Mangalore at 4.05pm.

On its return, all the three Mangalore/Doha flights will be via Bahrain with a departure ex Mangalore at 5.30 pm and arriving in Doha at 8.30 pm.

The airline is also offering non-stop flights to Mumbai on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays with a 9.15pm departure time from Doha and arrival at Mumbai at 3 am the following day.

All the three Mumbai/Doha flights will depart Mumbai at 6.30 am and will arrive in Doha at 8.50 am via Bahrain. All times mentioned are local time.

Malaysia mission to hold shows

DOHA • To mark 'Visit Malaysia Year 2007', Tourism Malaysia and the Malaysian embassy here will be organising cultural performances at the Hyatt Plaza Concourse Area tomorrow.

The two cultural shows will be held from 7pm to 9pm, an embassy release said.
