Minister concludes visit to Comoros

DOHA: Qatar’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Follow-Up Affairs H E Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, who is also Chairmen of the Standing Committee for Organising Conferences has concluded a three-day visit to the Republic of Comoros.

During the visit the minister discussed with Comoros officials the Conference to Support Development in Comoros, which will be held in Qatar during the first half of 2010, upon the decision of the Arab League General Secretariat.

The minister and his accompanying delegation met with President Abdullah Sambi, who asked him to convey greetings from the Comoros government and people to the Emir for Qatar’s continued support to his country.

Al Rumaihi also held meetings with Vice President in charge of the Ministry of Finance, Vice President in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Minerals, and Chairperson of the National Committee for Development and Planning and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, Health, Tourism and Energy to discuss topics related to organisation of the Donor Conference.
