Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has sent a cable of condolences to H M King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the death of his uncle Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a similar cable to the Bahraini King offering condolences.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani has sent a cable of condolences to Bahrain King.

Emir sends letter to UAE President

Abu Dhabi: President of the United Arab Emirates H H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday a letter from the Emir of Qatar H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, pertaining to the fraternal relations and latest developments of concern to both sides in the course of the continuous coordination between the two leaderships aimed at achieving the interests of their peoples. The letter was handed over by Qatar’s Ambassador to the UAE H E Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Othman during a meeting with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.

Emir greets Cambodian King

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has sent a cable of greetings to King of Cambodia on the occasion of his country’s National Day. The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a similar cable to the Cambodian King.

Aspire Zone gets

new chairman

Doha: The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday an Emiri decision appointing Hilal Jeham Al Kuwari as Chairman of Aspire Zone and Tariq Abdulaziz Al Ni’ama as its Deputy Chairman. The decision annulled any rule contravening its provisions.

Human Rights National Day

Doha: The National Human Rights Committee will mark tomorrow the National Day of Human Rights, which falls on November 11 every year, the date of establishment of the Committee.

In a statement on this occasion, the Committee’s Deputy Chairman Dr Yousuf Obeidan praised steps taken by Qatar to promote, enhance and consolidate human rights.
