Doha: MES School Principal, AP Sasidharan, has been invited to attend the 9th Management Development Programme (MDP) on Leadership in Educational Administration organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi.
The programme to be held at NUEPA and scheduled for 16th – 20th November 2009, will focus on the Comprehensive Continuous Evaluation (CCE) and School Based Assessment in the wake of the examination reforms mooted by the CBSE. The CBSE has done away with the class X Board Examination from the academic year 2010-11 and has introduced a nine- point grading system for classes IX and X from the current academic year.
“The CBSE programme, I hope, will delve deep into the various issues and apprehensions of students, parents and teachers about the new examination and evaluation system recently initiated by the CBSE.
A number of students and parents have approached us with a large number of queries on the issue. We have already issued circulars to the students detailing the highlights of the CBSE reforms”, said Sasidharan.
