DOHA: Mobile and handy car wash machines are doing brisk business as an increasing number of motorists prefer to get their vehicles cleaned up in public parking lots.

Those operating these portable yet effective car wash facilities carrying them from one parking lot to another, say since they charge QR15 from a car and end up making up to QR200 to QR300 on busy days.

One such operator said he did more business during the weekends and made QR150 to QR200 a day on average.

According to some car owners, they find the wash facility easier to access and do not have to waste their time waiting in long queues at established centres, some of which, aside from charging much more, take a whole day to give a vehicle back.
