Indian Engineer’s Day celebration

DOHA • Engineer's day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Bharatratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya the doyen of engineering fraternity in India. It is the day of reverence and conscientious thinking for all Indian Engineers. Qatar chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India) will celebrate the 39th Engineer's Day on September 15, 2006 at Intercontinental Hotel, Doha.

The function will start at 6pm and will be followed by dinner. The theme of the event is "Role of Engineers in Natural Disaster Mitigation and Management". Dr J P Gupta, Director General of Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute will provide the key note address. A souvenir will also be released on the occasion.
