VANCOUVER: The Vancouver Canucks claimed their third win in four when they brushed aside the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 yesterday. Third period scores from Henrik Sedin, Tanner Glass and Kyle Wellwood made the difference as The Canucks (13-11-0) improved to 9-3-0 at home.
Sedin’s goal broke a 1-1 tie at 3:54 in final period after he won a critical face-off.
Roberto Luongo waded in with 31 saves for the home side, including a stunning, reaching stop on a Teddy Purcell shot early in the second period. Earlier, Alexandre Burrows put the Canucks up in the first. Wayne Simmonds tied the game at 1-1 early in the second before Vancouver’s last-period rally.
