Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies Investment Co Ltd - Qatar to establish and implement a Chinese language and information and communications technology (ICT) training programme for 10 selected students from different CENG departments.
The MoU was signed by CENG Dean Dr Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Huawei Technologies Investment Co Ltd - Qatar President and CEO Zong Yan in presence of Ambassador of China to Qatar Li Chen, QU VP for Research and Graduate Studies Prof Mariam Al-Maadeed, Huawei Technologies Investment Co Ltd - Qatar Vice President Farhan Khan, and Huawei representatives, as well as QU leadership, faculty and staff.
In the terms of the MoU, the Chinese language and ICT training program will be provided to 10 qualified students selected by a panel of QU representatives. The program will take place in China for two weeks. The Chinese language training will be provided in Beijing during one week, while ICT training will be provided in Huawei research and development) centers in Shenzhen for another week.
