Qatar participates in International Junior Science Olympiad

A Qatari student delegation is participating in the 14th International Junior Science Olympiad which takes place in the Netherlands.
The competition is the largest scientific event involving talented students in the field of science who are under the age of 16, from more than 50 countries around the world. Qatar’s participation is the first of its kind.
The 14th International Junior Science Olympiad continues until the 12th of December, in which students are engaged in individual and group competitions through a series of theoretical and practical tests.
The competition aims to stimulate and encourage talented students to develop their talents in the different fields of natural sciences, and establish friendly relations among them at this early age, from all over the world, in addition to providing opportunities for comparison between educational curricula and trends in science education in participating countries.
Meanwhile, Qatar students have been trained on concepts and scientific and practical skills in preparation for their participation at this international scientific competition.
