Solidarity for Qatar from Voliq; Volleyball Tournament held

Doha: VoliqQ, an organisation of Volleyball loving Indians in Qatar, conducted a mini tournament at Qatar Sports Club under the slogan 'We are with Qatar' to declare solidarity with the State of Qatar.

Voliq members were divided into four teams for the friendly matches. The event was inaugurated by Qatar Volleyball Association president Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari on Friday at 6 pm. He praised the initiatives taken by Voliq in the field of Volleyball and added that QVA will support all future activities undertaken by Voliq to popularise the sport.

 

 

QVA director board member Mubarak Eid was also present in the event. Voliq general secretary Ashique Ahmed delivered  the welcome address and President Mohammed Najeeb gave the oath of solidarity which was repeated by all present. The President of Indian Sports center Nilanshu De spoke on the occasion. VoliQ treasurer Ashiq Mahe gave the vote of thanks. Indian Cultural Centre member Jutas Paul, Indian Sports centre members like M S Bukhari, Asim Abbas, Habeeb Nabi, Voliq advisory board chairman Abdulla Keloth and Vice President Thayambath Kunjali spoke at the event. All players wore t-shirts that had the picture of Emir imprinted over it.

 

 

 

Voliq players Mohammed Rinshad, Sebin Joseph, Inayath, Siraj Mattannoor, Ranjish Kariyad, Fasal V V, Mohammed Valakett, Afsal, Abinas, Mansoor Vanimel, Fawas, Asees Kaserkode, Ansar Vanimel, Sinesh, Shereej Panayi, Kader Vadakara, Rafeeq, Ismail Panikotti, Henry, Bin Joshi, Moideen Moodadi, Moosa kalleri, Nasser Tom, Mohideen Abbas, Ansari, Kareem Madeena, Sameer Punathil, Sujesh, Faisel, Sajimon, Jinsen and Jaisel participated in the match.

Baseer Pattara, Ashiq Mahe, Dhanesh, Sudan, Haris Kallachi amd Noushar controlled the match. Majeed Nadapuram directed the Inauguration programme and Razi Majeed took care of videography.
