Asean golfers bid farewell to Malaysian envoy

Indonesian Golf Association in Qatar (Igaqa)  along with other Asean golfers organise a golf tournament to bid farewell to the Malaysian Ambassador to Qatar Ahmad Jazri bin Mohd Johar  who is also as a dean of Asian group  in Qatar.

There were around 40 golfers consisting of Asean ambassadors, diplomats from the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) and members of the Igaqa and members of Malaysian Golf Association and some members of the South East Asean Golf Association (Seaga) participated in the golf tournament at the Doha Golf Club.

According to the Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Basri, the tournament aims to foster camaraderie and friendship among golfers from the Asean member countries.

Ahmad Jazri is considered as one of the best Asean golfers and also very well known golfer in Doha.   

The event was organised as a part of celeberation of the Asean Day’s 50th Anniversary.

The envoy hopes that the tournament will strengthen cooperation among countries through the sport.

Winners of the tournament for the Ambassador Flight category  were Malaysian Ambassador Ahmad Jazri, followed by Vietnam Ambassador Nguyen Hoang.
