QSE’s index gains 29.26 points

Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index gained 29.26 points, or 0.37 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 7,885.50 points yesterday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 5.31 million from 4.64 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR145.06m from QR636.46m on Wednesday.
Out of the 45 listed companies on QSE, shares of 40 saw trading yesterday. From these, 29 gained, eight closed lower, and three remained unchanged. Indices of five sectors ended in green and remained two sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index gained 0.37 percent to 13,223.52 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 0.55 percent to 3,025.59 points and QSE All Share Index added 0.22 percent to 2,180.04 points, reports QNA.
However, when compared on weekly basis, the QSE index lost 260.73 points, 3.20 percent, last week compared to previous week’s closing.

Trading value during last week increased by 29.84 percent to reach QR893.23m compared to QR687.94m.
Trading volume increased by 5.39 percent to reach 32,420,040 shares, as against 30,762,188 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 30.34 percent, to reach 14,279 transactions as compared to 10,955 transactions.
Market cap fell by 3.86 percent to reach QR426.36bn as compared to QR443.46bn at the end of previous week.
