Al Sailiya look to end campaign with a win

Doha: Al Sailiya’s Head of Football Abdullah Darwish (pictured) has assured fans that his team was looking to end their Qatar Stars League (QSL) campaign on a high.
Al Sailiya will take on rivals Al Arabi in their last match of the season on Saturday.
“We are looking forward to gaining the three points. We are aware that it is a difficult game ahead, but we are capable of winning,” Darwish said in an interview.
He was eager to note that he expects plenty at stake between the two sides.
“Al Arabi and Al Sailiya games are always lively games. Both sides want to improve their position in the table ahead of the Emir Cup competition.”
Commenting on the recent QSL form in which Al Sailiya have only registered one win in the last five games, the chief blamed lack of concentration but hoped for an improved performance from his side in the next season.
“We have lacked concentration at key times in the last few games. The team is working hard to get rid of these errors moving forward,” he said.
Darwish concluded the interview with a few words on the current squad.
“The management is happy with the performance of the players this season, the management is also pleased with the support offered from our chariman Abdullah Al Aidah.”The Peninsula
