MES wins table tennis & badminton medals

Table tennis teams of MES Indian School won the CBSE Qatar cluster table tennis tournament in the Under 14 and 17 boys and Under 17 girls category hosted by Birla Public School on May 10.

All the winners have qualified to take part in the CBSE national table tennis tournament to be held in India in November. It is remarkable that Under 17 boys table tennis team of MES Indian School made it to the CBSE national tournament for the 15th consecutive time.  

Following players comprised the winning teams under various categories:
Kashif Minhaj, Manish Ravi Varrier, Antony Paul Brite and Mohamed Sahl Sameer (Under 17 Boys). Gopalan Sunil, Mishal Mohammed Riyas, Mohammed Omer Ali and Elliot Joseph (Under 14 Boys). Midhila Sunil Kumar, Stacey Singh, Nihan Kader and Fathimath Samra (Under 17 Girls).Kunheedu AP and Shahana Kader, teachers of the physical education department of the school trained the teams.

Badminton Championship

The Under 17 badminton team of MES Indian school won the CBSE Qatar cluster badminton tournament hosted by Al Khor Inter National School on May 9.

With this win, the Under 17 badminton boys’ team of MES Indian School has qualified to take part in the CBSE national badminton tournament to be held in India in November.

The players who represented the winning team are as follows: Saif Syed Mohamed, Shaffin Reyods and Punit Pande. Binoy K K, teacher in the physical education department of the school was the coach.
