Colourful events mark PAQ’s I-Day celebrations

Pakistan Association Qatar’s (PAQ) Youth Wing organised a colourful celebration to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day at Doha Downtown Hotel, yesterday.
Areeba, President of PAQ  Youth Wing and Laraib Rafaqat, Secretory, coordinated the event well and they said it was an effort to convey the Independence Day’s message to youth.
Commodore Irfan Taj, the Defence Attaché’s of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was the chief guest. Chairperson of Pakistan Woman Association Qatar & CEO of Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Doha, Rahat Mansoor, and Chaudhary Ajmal, community liaison officer of all significant Pakistani community organisation, was the guest of honours of the event.
Chairman of Pakistan Association Qatar, Syed Faheem ud din, spoke about the organisation and the back ground of forming Youth Wing.
The theme of the programme was “The even for kids, from the kids”. The event was cosponsored by Doha’s significant youth development organization WWICS, there representative were there to guide the students for their further educations projects.
The programme started with recitation of The Holy Quran by Muhammad Faizan Syed and  praising of The Holy Prophet in poetic form (Naat) was presented by Muhammad Ahmed and Wardah haseeb. National Anthem of Pakistan was played and sung by all the participants.
Students have presented their speeches on different subjects covering the importance of independence and how to uplift the nation. Laraib Rafaqat, Fatima Farhan Khursheed, Abdoohu Usama and Abdullah Farooq were the students who delivered speeches.  Pakistan Association Qatar’s patron Tajamul Cheema paid vote of thanks to participants and community members.
