Jemal to lead Al Arabi in new QSL season

Al Arabi have confirmed that Tunisian defender Ammar Jemal (pictured) will be the new captain of the side.
The club announced on their official social media accounts on Monday that the player, who was signed from Tunisian Ligue side Étoile Sportive du Sahel in July, will now lead The Dream Team next Qatar Stars League (QSL) season.
Al Arabi head coach, Kais Yaâkoubi originally entrusted new signing Khalfan Ibrahim with the captain’s armband however the Qatari striker recommended his Tunisian team mate as the new captain of the side. Jemal has an extensive footballing resume having played at a high level in Europe which includes stints in France, Germany and Switzerland.
The thirty-year-old defender is currently with his side in Slovenia where they are involved in a preseason training camp. The team is expected to return to Doha on August 26, ahead of the start of the new season.
