QC projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina benefit families


Qatar Charity (QC) implemented several income-generating projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina that benefited families in the first half of the year.

They include economic, health, agricultural and cultural empowerment projects in addition to seasonal projects and the provision of assistance to needy families and a wide range of sponsorships.

Qatar Charity aims to finance and support sustainable development projects based on coordination and cooperation with local authorities, institutions and civil society organisations.

The total cost of these projects is QR4,221,876, Qatar Charity said in a report yesterday. QC has been working in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1994 and sponsors around 2,285 orphans, 176 needy families, 171 students in various disciplines, 10 huffaz (memorisers of the Holy Qur’an) and 90 disabled persons.

Qatar Charity signs cooperation deal for Indonesian project

Qatar Charity has signed a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education for drilling 100 surface water wells to supply drinking water to universities and colleges. QC wills finance the project that includes paying the costs of drilling well, setting up tanks with the capacity of 100 litres and installation of water pumps.
