Emir’s condolences offered to Hollande
French President Francois Hollande welcomes Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani at Elysee Palace yesterday.

Paris: French President Francois Hollande met Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani at Elysee Palace yesterday.
The Premier conveyed condolences of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani over the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in the French capital.
He also conveyed the Emir’s greetings to Hollande and wishes to him and the French people of further prosperity and growth.
Hollande entrusted the Premier with his greetings to the Emir, wishing him health and happiness and Qatar further prosperity and welfare. They discussed bilateral relations, means of developing them in various fields and regional and international issues of common concern.
At a press conference after his meeting with Hollande, the Premier said he conveyed the Emir’s condolences to the president over the victims of terrorist attacks in several locations in Paris.
He reiterated Qatari leadership, government and people’s condemnation and denunciation of terrorist and criminal acts in Paris which aim to sow instability and insecurity in the region. He said his meeting with the president dealt with issues of concern to the two friendly countries and regional and international developments of mutual concern.
The Premier also met his counterpart Manuel Valls and reviewed cooperation, ways of enhancing it in various fields and latest regional and international developments. He  attended a dinner banquet hosted by Valls in his and his delegation’s honour. The Premier met Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve at the ministry and discussed cooperation and means of developing it, especially in the security field. At his residence at Peninsula Paris Hotel, the Premier met Maurice Leroy, Head of French-Qatari Friendship Society, at French National Assembly (parliament).
