UDC awarded Certificate of Appreciation
Hussein Akbar Al Baker, Acting Director,  Marketing and Communications, UDC, receives the award from Brigadier General Muhammad Abdullah Al Maliki, Secretary, National Traffic Safety Committee and Chairman of the Organising Committee.

DOHA: United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari shareholding company and master developer of the Pearl-Qatar, yesterday received a Certificate of Appreciation from the 24th World ITMA (International Traffic Medicine Association) Congress, a statement said.
The three-day event hosted by Qatar under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani ends today. 
Hussein Akbar Al Baker, Acting Director, Marketing and Communications, UDC, received the certificate during a gala dinner. 
The certificate presented by Brigadier General Muhammad Abdullah Al Maliki, Secretary,  National Traffic Safety Committee and Chairman of the Organising Committee, was in recognition of the company’s contribution to, sponsorship of and support for the conference. 
Brigadier General Al Maliki praised the company’s role as co-sponsor of the conference and its efforts in support of Qatar’s economic and investment growth.
He also hailed UDC’s efforts to support Qatar National Vision  2030 as evidenced in implantation of the country’s national traffic safety strategy in the long-term.
“ITMA is pleased to contribute to the hosting of this event to primarily highlight the importance of traffic medicine and road safety, and we are hopeful to see good results leading to effective reduction in the loss of lives on Qatar’s roads,” he said.
The congress provides a multidisciplinary network and forum for scientists and practitioners involved in traffic safety to interact and exchange ideas and information on latest issues in this field.
