DPS-MIS Nursery kids mark Sports Day

The Peninsula

The school playground at DPS–MIS was filled with excitement and fun as the budding sport stars of Nursery celebrated the annual Sports Day on February 12. The programme commenced with a prayer to seek Almighty’s blessings for the day which was followed by a foot tapping Arabic welcome dance by the students.

The chief guest of the day, Kausar Hassan, Council member of DPS – MIS and Director of Success group, graced the occasion along with Principal Asna Nafees. After the oath taking ceremony by the Nursery students, where they pledged to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship, the chief guest declared the sports meet open.

The students displayed a wide array of colourful  events. The first event was the March Past where the tiny tots marched proudly holding the school flag, Qatar flag and the Indian flag. They even ran with the iconic Olympic torch. The skilful display of Parachute Drill, Aerobics Drill and the Hokey Pokey Drill was colourful and spectacular.
