Mesaimeer Services Centre provides 2,79,101 services in first half

The Mesaimeer Services Centre has provided a total of 2,79,101 services to people in the first half of this year. It has issued 1,16,406 visas, 69,677 residence permits and 18,634 fingerprint scannings.
Mesaimeer Services Centre is one of the MoI service centers that provides many services including visa, residence permit, fingerprint, traffic and much more. It issued 8,754 traffic services, and 3,103 Qatari passport services. It also provided 62,527 other services during first half of the year.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that it approved over 220,000 entry visa applications and more than 180,000 travel permits/notifications through Metrash 2 application during the month. The MoI also added on its official twitter account that it approved over 75,000 residence permits and handled over 860,000 inquiry calls during the month.
Through Metrash 2, it provided more than 60,000 traffic services during the month. About 51 mllion transactions were made through the Ministry’s website and Metrash 2 in the first half of 2017.
The Ministry, through its 999 emergency service, handled 1,132,627 calls.
The data indicated that 999 Emergency Service received 188,771 calls per month - 6,258 calls per day, 261 calls per hour and five calls per minute.
Now, 211 electronic services are available through Metrash2 and the website of the Ministry. The number of subscribers to Metrash2 has reached 328,000 so far.
The service is available in six languages including Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Urdu and Malayalam.
Metrash 2 services include many services like visa, residence, traffic violations, travel exit permit, transfer vehicle ownership, community police, renewal of driving license, issue or replacement for damaged driving licence, CID in addition to different inquiries.
