This year’s QSF starts a few days earlier on June 22 and will go till September 5. 77 hotels are taking part in this year’s nation-wide festival.

Retailers at participating malls will be offering up to 50 percent discounts and other special promotions. In addition, for every QR 200 spent at any of the participating outlets in these malls, shoppers can enter the mega raffle draw to be held on the final day of QSF (September 5) and have a chance to win one of 10 exciting cash prizes or a super luxury car.

Director of Festivals and Events at Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) Mashal Shahbik said: "Qatar Summer Festival offers visitors to Qatar the ultimate summer package, from special travel and hospitality offers to exciting and varied retail and entertainment options for all members of the family to enjoy."

"The summer festivities, which this year extend from Eid Al Fitr to Eid Al Adha, form a key part of our efforts to energize the tourism sector through diversifying Qatar’s events calendar and tourist source markets. We are particularly pleased that this edition’s activities are fully delivered by members of the private sector," she added
