Emir meets US President

Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with the President of the United States Donald Trump on the sidelines of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of developing mutual cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The Emir welcomed Trump’s involvement. “As you said, Mr President, we have a problem with our neighbours and your interference will help a lot and I’m sure we can find a solution for this problem.”
Trump said: “We are right now in a situation where we’re trying to solve a problem in the Middle East and I think we’ll get it solved,” describing the Emir as a long-time friend.
“I have a very strong feeling that it will be solved pretty quickly,” Trump said.
Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also met with the Prime Minister of the friendly United Kingdom, Theresa May, on the sidelines of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
