Both exhibitions are supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The QM Department of Education will be offering teachers training starting this Sunday. Each day-long training session will equip teachers to integrate content from the exhibitions into their teaching and class planning, including curriculum-alignment with the topics of the exhibitions. Teachers will also be prepared to conduct self-guided tours for students following the training. All programmes and learning materials have been developed in collaboration with the Deutsche Bank, Volkswagen, the German Embassy and the Goethe-Institut.
The training for German Encounters will be a general resource and introduction to German contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day, focusing on certain aspects of the exhibition and introducing artists’ biographies. A variety of post-visit learning materials, student and teacher guides, as well as suggestions for creative learning activities will be discussed and shared during the session.
