David Moore, winner in the annual Front, Middle, Back Tournament at the Doha Golf Club (DGC), poses for a picture along with other podium winners. Moore took the Flight A title with a Nett 69 by 13, a solid score considering the format, any nett birdie requires you to move back a tee for the next hole. Mikkel Mathiesen, carded a nett 70 to finish runner-up. Flight B was hotly contested as usual with two players tying with nett scores of 58. Hoi Deok Ho took first place via countback with Arbi Hussain having to settle for the runner-up position, a very hard pill to swallow after carding a nett 58. The ladies’ flight was won by Yu Kyeong Kim, finishing 11 shots clear of the field with a superb nett 67. Nada Mir beat Lesley Looker to second place on countback, both having carded scores of 78. The format is unique in that it uses three different sets of tees, which one you use is determined by your score on the previous hole, so it provides some much needed variety that was enjoyed by all those who took part.
