Qatar reach SA for ICC WCL Division 5 challenge

Qatar national cricket team yesterday arrived in South Africa to take part in the  ICC World Cricket League - Division 5 tournament.

The tournament will be held from September 3 to 9 and will see eight nations vying for honours. Qatar have been drafted in Group A, along with Italy, Guernsey and Cayman Islands while Jersey, Vanuatu, Ghana and Germany will begin their campaigns in Group B.

Qatar will play the tournament opener against Cayman Islands at the Sahara Main Oval on September 3 and will play against Italy on the following day.

On September 6, Qatari cricketers will meet Guernsey in their final group match. The second round matches will be played on the next day.

The final of the tournament will take place on September 9.
