Indian Embassy Open Houses received 36 complaints

The monthly Open House to address urgent consular and labour issues/cases of Indian nationals in Qatar held at the Embassy has received 36 complaints since January 2017, a statement said yesterday.
The grievances brought to the notice of the embassy related to delayed wages and violations of contract terms and conditions. Among the complaints, 23 have been resolved and 13 are being followed up by the embassy.
Ambassador P Kumaran, Dr M Aleemm, Third Secretary for Labour and Community Welfare and other officials met the complainants and discussed their problems in detail.
