Occupation forces detain 4 Palestinians in West Bank

QNA

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained four Palestinians from provinces of the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said the occupation forces carried out a series of arrests across the West Bank, detaining two Palestinians in Jenin and two in Nablus and Ramallah.

Meanwhile, a report issued by the Palestinian Prisoners Society said detainee Ali Barghouthi, who has been sick, entered an open hunger strike to protest protracting the medical attention that he is due at Asqalan prison.

Barghouthi, 45 and hails from Ramallah, has been in jail since his detention in April 2004 and is serving a life sentence.
