Ministry denies reports on change in working hours

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs denied reports on the amendment of working hours during the month of Ramadan, which suggests that the employees have the opportunity to choose the time that suits them, under the condition of completing 5 hours of daily work.
The Ministry affirmed its commitment to the Circular No (2) of 2017 issued by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, on official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan for civil servants being five hours a day, starting 9am to 2pm, while government service centres start from 9am to 1pm and from 1pm to 5pm.
