Memories of those bygone days...Where does one get the time for reminiscence in our fast paced life, as is cliched about our modern day life, believe me, mine is not so fast paced. I get enough time to do all the necessities in my life and plus all those not so necessary stuffs in life, as well. By not so necessary, I did not really mean NOT SO NECESSARY, and to brief it, those include catching up with my old friends from all stages of my life.
Speaking of being social, these were once confined to family, school, college and workplace. You needed to get to those places if you needed to be social. Voila! lucky us, caught between generations where we have experienced life both with and without cell and net. As the term implies in it, CELL - it has become more or less the cell of our life, the cell that keeps charging us, not only in monetary terms, but in terms of fueling our spirits. This fueling of spirits, as I would like to describe it, has a broader platform now, the NET. Again, as its literal meaning suggests, the net is a net that keeps us netted.
Netting has become a phenomena that has done wonders in my life. Starting from gaming to mailing from a corner of my living room, chatting to known and unknowns, and finding the pleasure of blabbering out whatever that pops up in my gray matter under the pretext of being anonymous. All these relieving me from the hassles of getting a letter pad, envelope and stamps, needless to mention about the essential pen and posting. The pleasure at the onset was beyond words can express. A few years passed by, when a new friend of mine suggested about a social networking site where we can find our old buddies. It did not sound very appealing to me at the beginning, but even then, a net freak as I was, I signed up. The true wonder of it revealed in itself to me when a family friend of mine (friends at the age of 2, 3 or 4 yrs or so) DISCOVERED me on that very site. Since then, there was no looking back. My pillar of faith in the site started building up high with every passing week, each time stumbling upon an old buddy or two from yester years. Now I am perfectly NETTED. I found lots and lots of friends, gathering all, as if I were having a pleasure ride in a time machine.
I would like to state only the pros of my evolution to a netizen. The excitement of getting in touch with very old friends, was astounding. I was flabbergasted every time I got in touch with long lost pals . I found amazing aspects of my friends, which I never knew while I was with them in person. I found A adventerous, B ravishing, C a total amusement, D a great cook, E a funny chap, F a great blogger, G a ....nah!!! I cannot keep describing all those A - Z pals in my list. No offence to anyone. All those letters are just representations of your names my friends, I did not want anyone to be left out. Since I have a wide circle, it is best that I reduce the Herculean task of mentioning all to simple abbreviation as A - Z. It is fun having you all around in my life once again. It is really a pleasure to read what you guys are doing each day, each week, each month and please don't be OFFLINE for a year in a stretch. Let keep ourselves netted in the web! Once again glad to meet you all....
Love,
Nishi
