Commercial Bank Trophy at Mesaieed Golf Club Saturday, 14 May 2011 03:00
Mesaieed Golf Club has a new golf club champion. Despite the ferocious heat Mr. H. C. Park held his nerve and showed the rest of the field he is still a force to be reckoned with. With a total of 169 strokes
for the two day event he finished 6 shots ahead of the diminished field.
On Saturday we had the Commercial Bank Trophy running as a Stableford Competition. Fourth place went to S. M. Rahman with 36 points. Beating him on countback was Danny Garvey who finished third. In second place on his own was John Mahone with a score of 37 points. But it was Dave Benfield who took the spoils with a remarkable 46 points nine shots ahead of the field. A truly great score considering the desert heat.
