DOHA: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has confirmed its participation in the largest plastics exhibition in the Western Hemisphere, The Plastic Industry Trade Event (NPE2012) being held from April 1-5 2012 in Orlando, Florida, USA. Through its exporting arm, Qatar Export Development Agency (Tasdeer) has invited the leading Qatari plastic exporters to be part of the Qatar Pavilion at the exhibition.
Tasdeer, along with 13 Qatari plastic exporters will showcase the export potential and quality of Qatar-made plastic products in a custom-built, 1600 square foot stand. The major market segments for plastic imports are manufacturers of appliances, automotive, consumer products, housing/construction, medical and packaging. This exhibition will provide Qatari plastic companies access to North America’s $400bn/year plastics marketplace and create opportunities for ’Made in Qatar’ products to reach global markets.”
Hassan Khalifa Al Mansoori, Executive Director of Tasdeer, said, “The United States offers an attractive large market, our support to Qatari companies goes in line with QDB’s objective to encourage Qatari companies to expand their reach in the international markets, and increase their exports.”
He added that NPE 2012 is a great networking opportunity for Qatari companies to meet over 2000 plastic suppliers from around the world and engage into discussions for technical, professional and commercial collaboration.
