‘Language Journey’ fares well in Canada, UK Tuesday, 03 August 2010 04:15
Activities of the ‘Language Journey’ programme, sponsored by the Doha Youth Centre as part of its summer activities, continued to be organised in both Canada and the UK last week.
In Canada, the students enjoyed the privilege of the presence of a unique itinerary. As they arrived at their residence in the hostels of the Algonquin College, the students started their first school day with an assessment test in preparation for sending them to their classes in the light of the procedures of the GEOS Language Institute.
The students will meet on a daily basis to be part of several recreational and cultural activities.
They will make a tour of the Canadian capital of Ottawa. The students had already visited the Museum of Civilization, which displays the history of Canada and its indigenous peoples.
At the end of the week, the students paid a visit to Mont Tremblant to enjoy the beautiful landscape and play games in the famous park.
They went on the other day to La Ronde, the city of games in Montreal, and enjoyed a day full of fun.
In the UK, programme participants visited several British families and made an entertainment tour during which they played games.
General Supervisor of the journey, Abdullah Al Ziara, lauded the progress of the journeys in both Canada and the UK. He thanked the administrator of the Canada journey, Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, and the administrator of the UK journey, Saleh Riyadh, for their efforts to make the journeys a success.
