Commission to accept scholarship applications Tuesday, 10 August 2010 02:14
Officials at the Higher Education Commission at the Supreme Education Council have said they would start receiving scholarship applications from high school graduates to all universities included in their lists.
The Guidance Office and the Professional Development Office at the Higher Education Commission have recently issued a students guide for scholarship programmes and higher education services in order to acquaint students with the programmes, scholarships and grants of Hamad bin Khalifa and Tamim bin Hamad, which are provided by the Higher Education Commission.
The guide aims to familiarise the students with the principles and objectives based on the fundamental vision of enhancing opportunities for excellence and other topics.
Given the importance of this guide, which is available at the Office of Advising and Career Development Authority and also at the website of the Supreme Education Council (http://www.sec.gov.qa), the Higher Education Commission officials have urged all high school students and their parents to see the guide and communicate and consult with officials at the Higher Education Commission about the scholarship programmes so that they can make decisions based on correct information.
The guide also highlights the services provided by the Authority through the Professional Development Office for all students, both those who want to apply for various universities on the lists of the Supreme Council of Education and those who wish to join the programmes of the Higher Education Institute.
