Qatar exchange down 0.28% Wednesday, 19 October 2011 13:59

DOHA: The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday 23.73 points or 0.28% to 8,376.31 points from the previous closing of 8,400.04.

The volume of shares traded was down to 6,584,195 from 7,073,223 on Tuesday, and the value of shares up to QR247,249,947.94 from QR244,120,427.24 Tuesday.

Among the top losers were Qatar National Bank whose share dropped by 1.41% to QR139.60, Industries Qatar fell 0.24% to QR126.20, Electricity & Water lost 0.71% to QR140.00 and Qatar Insurance down 1.42% to QR76.50.

Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector dropped 52.79 points while the Insurance sector down 95.08 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 12.33 points and the Services sector fell 2.02 points. (QNA)
