Qatar exchange up 0.41 pct Tuesday, 20 December 2011 14:00

DOHA: The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Tuesday adding 35.69 points or 0.41 percent to 8,780.45 points from the previous closing of  8,744.76.

The volume of shares traded was up to 12,487,808 from 8,162,893 on Monday and the value of shares was increased to QR406,719,480.29 from QR300,862,513.17 Monday.

Top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar which was up 1.19 percent to QR85.000, Qatar Islamic Bank rose 1.56 percent to QR84.40, Electricity & Water gained 1.29 percent to QR141.70 and Rayan up by 1.47 percent to QR27.55.

Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector up 121.91 while the Insurance sector gained 34.58 points. The Qatar industrial sector dropped 41.07 points and the Services sector lost 3.76 points. (QNA)
