Qatar exchange down 0.05% Thursday, 22 December 2011 13:37

DOHA:  The Qatar Exchange was down on Thursday 4.04 points or  0.05% to 8,780.48 points from the previous closing of  8,784.52.

The volume of shares traded was up to 53,997,219 from  8,075,422 on Wednesday, and the value of shares increased to QR1,356,927,875.27 from QR274,790,540.65 Wednesday.

Among the top losers were Qatar Islamic Bank whose share dropped 1.77% to QR83.20, Qatar Telecom lost by 0.68% to QR147.00, Doha Bank fell 0.78% to QR63.40 and Electricity & Water down 0.57% to QR139.10.

Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector dropped 59.68 points while the Insurance sector gained 8.64 points. The Qatar industrial sector fell 16.98 points and the Services sector added 38.68 points. (QNA)
