Qatar's diplomacy hailed as benefitting the entire Arab nation Sunday, 22 January 2012 11:28

CAIRO: Qatar's political role in support of the Palestinian cause is strong, significant and served the Palestinian issue for decades, Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Sabih said.

Speaking in an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), Sabih underlined that Qatar's powerful and successful diplomacy has served the entire Arab nation.

He noted that Qatar's diplomacy still has an active and strong role in supporting the peace process. Doha enjoys strong and excellent contacts with various actors in the international community, which serves as our cause.

Qatar's presidency of the current session of the United Nations gave a clear impetus to any effort in support to the Palestinians, Sabih added.

Sabih highlighted Qatar's financial support to the Palestinian cause, noted that Qatar has fulfilled all its financial obligations to the Palestinian issue, and even more by helping charities.

Sabih underlined Qatar's remarkable role in all Arab decisions as it chairs the current session of the Arab League council, noting that Qatar's ambassadors were playing a big and important role in supporting the Palestinian cause everywhere. (QNA)
