ISLAMABAD: At least six soldiers were killed and 14 others injured in a militant attack on a checkpoint in a volatile tribal area of north-west Pakistan tuesday, officials here said.
The attack occurred in the Kurram tribal agency, an area where militants have been active in recent years, the BBC reported.
Last week at least 23 people were killed in clashes between soldiers and militants in the same region.
The army has several anti-militant operations ongoing in the tribal areas close to the Afghan border. (QNA)
