Iranian, Iraqi officials stress expansion of economic relations Thursday, 02 February 2012 08:57
TEHRAN: Iran's East Azarbaijan Governor General Ahmad Alireza-Beigi and Iraqi Deputy Minister of Industry and Minerals for Central Activities Maki Ajeeb Hamood in a meeting, emphasized on expansion of economic relations, Iran's News Agency (IRNA) reported.
The Iraqi official noted that Baghdad policy in the field of industry is in favor of development of relations with Iranian companies including the East Azarbaijan companies.
"East Azarbaijan has good capacities for cooperation in particular in the field of tractor manufacturing," he added.
The Iranian official for his part noted that Iran is ready to share its experience with the Iraqi nation and government.
Alireza-Beigi referred to the Iranian scientists' achievements in various fields including production of medicines.
Iran has an embassy in Baghdad and three consulate general offices in Sulaimaniya, Arbil and Najaf.
Iraqi officials have expressed support for Iran's right to a peaceful nuclear program. (QNA)
