Legal advice: Computer crimes and penalties Thursday, 17 June 2010 06:18

Computer viruses are programmes that can copy themselves and infect computers. These viruses remain dormant for some time, but can become active at a later time to damage data stored on computers.

For that reason, those who intentionally transfer viruses to computers owned by others with the aim of damaging their data will be put in jail for a period between three months and three years.

If viruses lead to slowing the computer speed, transgressors will be put in jail for a period between six months and three years.

If transferred viruses damage computer files, data, or software, transgressors will be put in jail for a period between one year and three years.

Hi

I was wondering if you happen to know if it possible, for example, for a manufacturer to sell Android OS computer device with pre-installed applications from the Android application store? Would this go against the distribution law?

I cannot seem to find the answer for this anywhere so far. ..

Your help would be appreciated .

Thank you in advance.
