Qatar Embassies celebrate National Day

Doha: Qatar’s embassies all over the world celebrated National Day. Embassies in Beijing, Ankara, Jakarta, New Delhi, Berlin, Geneva, Budapest, Seoul, Damascus, Nicosia, Sarajevo, Brunei and Islamabad organised functions to mark the occasion.

Qatar’s Ambassador to China Abdullah Abdurrahman Al Muftah hosted a reception on the occasion. The function was attended by Chinese Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Zhenmin, and a number of political, social, economic, cultural and media figures. Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Beijing also attended the celebration.

Ambassador Abdullah Falah Abdullah Al Dosari, the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations in Geneva and Qatar General Consul to the Swiss Confederation hosted last night an official celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The Embassy in Ankara, The Republic of Turkey, has organised a reception to celebrate the anniversary of the National Day at Ankara Sheraton Hotel,

Abdulrazzak Al Abdulghani, the ambassador, the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy Mohammed Ali Al Malki , the First Secretary Fahd Salim Al Marri and the Military Attaché Brigadier General Hamid Al Hajri welcomed the dignitaries and guest who attended the ceremonial celebrations.

The reception was attended ministers, foreign diplomats, civil and military dignitaries, parliamentarians, the members of the commission of the Turkish -Qatari friendship organisation, representatives of political parties, businessmen, the representatives of the media and the press, as well as the Turkish citizens and friends of the state of Qatar.

There was also an audio visual demonstration on the winning of the bid to host the world cup 2022 in Qatar. The audiovisual demonstrations also included the current developments taking place in the fields of social, economic and Qatari traditional and cultural life, these presentations received great admiration and praise by those who attended the ceremonial celebrations.

Ambassador to India Hassan Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi hosted a reception in New Delhi.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Preneet Kaur, and Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Gulf and Haj Rajiv Chandra, and Assistant Director of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, Dinesh Bhatia, and the former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs - Middle East Shashi Tharoor, and a large number of officials and political and Intellectual figures and Indian community leaders as well as heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited to India.
