Doha: The Amiri Guard plans to recruit female staff members in the near future, apart from inducting 500 new recruits. This was announced by Amiri Guard’s Assistant Commander for Management and Information System, Staff Brigadier Saaleh Matar Dabit Al Dousri during the Open Day at the Ministry of Labour on Saturday.
“We plan to attract female staff for positions in the Amirir Guard in the future,” Al Dousri was quoted saying by Al Raya.
Vacant posts for people with special needs have also been identified, he added.
Citizens are informed about the work opportunities at the Amiri Guard during the Open Day event, which also served to increase cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and Amiri Guard.
The Ministry has already sent 500 text messages to registered job seekers, and the Amiri Guard will select people according to its criteria, the Asstistant Director of Human Source Development said.
As per the policy of employment, Amiri Guard recruits people from the age of 18 to 35.
One of the advantages of organising Open Day is to have transparency and to reduce the rate of unemployment in the country, apart from building the country’s capacity, the Assistant Director said.
“Through this cooperation with the Ministry of Labour we are attracting more young Qataris and the Ministry is registering job seekers and we are also getting the kind of staff we really need, Al Dousri said. The Ministry is particularly trying to find job placements for people with secondary level education.
