Sheikha Hind named CEO of Qatar Foundation

Doha: HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani has been appointed as the CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF). This was announced by Qatar Foundation in their twitter account.
“In this new role, Her Excellency will be working alongside Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of QF. To continue providing the highest standards of #education and #research while empowering young people to lead and develop #Qatar’s economy,” @QF mentioned in tweets.

 

Sheikha Hind is the Vice-Chairperson of Qatar Foundation and will now take over the responsibility of the CEO also.
QF also thanked the Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, who has served as president of Qatar Foundation since 2013, “for his significant contributions to QF over the past 20 years.”
He will be associated with Qatar Foundation as a Lifetime Member of the Board of Directors and a Member of the Board of Trustees.

Sheikha Hind also serves as Co-Chairperson of the Joint Advisory Board of Northwestern University in Qatar, a partner of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU),  Vice-Chair of QF Board of Directors,  Member of the Board of Trustees of QF and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Teach For Qatar.

The executive team appointed at QF will be effective from April 3. It includes Faisal Mohammed Al Suwaidi, President, QF Research and Development; Dr Ahmad M Hasnah, President, HBKU; Buthaina Al Nuaimi, President, Pre-University Education; Fahad Saad Al Qahtani, President, Community Development; Sheikh Salman bin Hassan Al Thani, Chief Financial Officer; Mayan Zebeib, Chief Communications Officer; Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Naimi, Chief Operations Officer; Michael Mitchell, General Counsel; Engineer Jassim Telefat, Executive Director, Capital Projects; and Omran Hamad Al Kuwari, Executive Director, CEO Office.
