Work on the much-talked about Aqua Park off Salwa Road is fast progressing. The facility, the first in Qatar is all set to open to public during Eid Al Fitr holidays.

An official of the 100,000sqm leisure and entertainment complex, which is coming up some 18km from the Industrial Area, told this newspaper that the facilities being set up will be five-star.

The facility is part of a huge farm and tickets will be priced at QR100 for both adults and children.

Most facilities are ready but the road within the complex as well as car parking facilities are yet to be completed.

“We have plans to open the Park full-fledged just after Ramadan, during Eid Al Fitr,” the official said.

The park expects around 700 visitors a day in the first six months after opening.
