IT WAS a perfect weekend for thousands of families in Qatar and they were not spending the day simply having fun but contributing to a cause: Education of less privileged children in many parts of Asia and become more aware of healthy lifestyle.

The more than 10,000 people who responded to the call of ROTA for the Wheels N’ Heels Community Fun Day event at the Sheraton Park along Doha Cornicheyesterday had a different kind of experience.

Families, friends and children had a chance to rub elbows with well-known celebrities in the movie and music industry and even with former legendary Olympic stars who went out of their way to attend the charity event.

Different zones were designated according to the people’s entertainment preference and sporting hobbies that surely everybody loved and enjoyed the day. The zones included: The Circuit, The Stage, The Kids Zone, The Bazaar Zone, Health and Safety Zone, Active Zone, VIP Lounge, Corporate Zone, The Big Screen, ROTA Zone and Food Zone.
