Khor Al Udeid or inland sea has been one of the tourist attractions in Qatar during winter for its breathtaking sight of the sky, sea and sand dunes, which is a perfect spot for dune bashing, also known as desert safari.

In a display of sheer daredevilry, Qataris as well as residents take their off-road vehicles to the dunes to fill their thirst for a unique adventure on the sand.

Such a spectacular sight to see packs of four-wheel-drives blast the sand as they careen their way on the very fine dunes!

Similar to auto-racing, experience and skill are required to manoeuvre the car and prevent accidents.

Dune bashing has been a tourist attraction and an integral part of life here that for some has turned into a thrilling hobby.
