Making hard turns Saturday, 26 March 2011 01:16

by Abdul Basit
The Formula Drift Qatar is one of the most exciting events organised by the Qatar Racing Club. More than nine tough pilots raced on March 18 getting their cars dirty on the circuit.
“The first turn is the hardest,” says Tanner Foust, who has two Formula D Championships under his belt.
On what Doha needs to attract drifting events, Foust says: “First of all you need to have a safe place to practice. A safe environment for pilots and fans alike is fundamental. You also need circuits, and Doha has a very nice one. Then vehicles must be easily available. Cars have to be accessible so that people can at least try it out.”
